My Skincare Must-Haves

Updated: Mar 29, 2022

You've probably seen every single person's skincare routine by now on Instagram or TikTok. Since I'm still working from home, I've been in the 'less is more' mindset of not overdoing it with my beauty routine. During the week, I try to stay fresh faced and add a touch of mascara (because you know, I have to throw in a little effort).

Below are my favorite products I've been using in the morning and before bed.

For the morning

StriVectin face serum: This is the first thing I put on my face once I'm out of the shower. It's feels lightweight and you immediately feel your skin tighten. It also smells ah-mazing.

Next up are these three products. I mix the Peter Thomas Roth water drench moisturizer and the LifeCell BB cream. The PTR moisturizer is lightweight and super hydrating and the BB cream has a tint to it, so it's a great product for the no-makeup makeup look. In the winter months I use the light shade and in the summer months I use the medium shade. It also has SPF 30 so your skin is protected for when you're outside.

The third product I use (though not every morning) is castor oil. A few times a week I add three drops with the PTR moisturizer and BB cream to get an extra glow-y look. Castor oil is an inexpensive and natural product that provides extra shine and moisture. It's also great for your hair (I add in three drops with my hair product).

Right Before the Zzzz's

I've been keeping my night time routine pretty simple. If I'm not breaking out or have any skin irritation, I tend to limit the products before bed. I recently started using Summer Fridays Jet Lag mask and I'm loving it. After applying a thin layer on your face, you can wipe it off after ten minutes, or you can leave it on for the whole night (which is what I've been doing). I also use some castor oil again, but this time it's for my eyebrows and eyelashes. The box comes with an applicator (as pictured).
