NYC Living: The Fall Edition

This fall has been busy to say the least, which is why I'm rounding up my favorite moments from the past two months!

TO DO

If you're a fan of the annual star-studded MET gala, the museum currently has this past year's exhibit on display - 'In America: The Lexicon of Fashion.' This exhibit will be open through September 5th, 2022. I was really impressed with the history and versatility of infamous (and the more unknown) artists who have made their mark in American fashion.

TWA Hotel: Located at John F. Kennedy International Airport, JFK Access Road, One Idlewild Drive, 11430. For my birthday this year, I wanted to do something fun and out of the box. A group of my closest friends and I spent the night at TWA hotel - a 60's themed hotel located right at JFK. Whether or not you're in the NYC area and want to do something different, I highly recommend checking this hotel out. You can roller blade in their outdoor rink, enjoy a cocktail in an old private jet-turned cocktail lounge, play a room-filled game of Twister or dine at one of their restaurants. There really is something to do for everyone and it was one of the best birthdays I've had!

I've gone to the Hamptons the past two years both in season and after the summer months. I have to say, going once all the summer-goers are gone is a really enjoyable experience. I went for my birthday weekend with my parents and husband and we took a day trip to Montauk. We were staying in Sag Harbor so it was about an hour drive to the end of the Island. We went to the lighthouse and then the LUNCH restaurant where The Affair was filmed.

Like the basic girl that I am, Wolffer Estate winery is my favorite winery in the Hamptons (I admittedly haven't gone to that many in the Hamptons, so I'm sure this will change down the road). We went on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and enjoyed the sunshine with some Summer in a Bottle, live music and cheese boards.

TO EAT

Antique Garage: Located at 41 Mercer St, New York, NY 10013. This has been one of my all-time favorites in NYC for a long time. It's located on a chic and quaint street in Tribeca and that's exactly the atmosphere this restaurant offers. Their Mediterranean cuisine and cocktails are so good and while you're dining, you can listen to live music.

Amali: Located at 115 E 60th St, New York, NY 10022. My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner here, so this restaurant has a special place in my heart. We recently went for my birthday and I forgot how amazing the food is. They also have Mediterranean food and the vibe is really cool with an underground, candle-lit and cool music look and feel. Their feta-butter and warm bread and olive oil cake are two of my favorites on the menu.

Maman UES: Located at 1424 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10028. This location recently opened up on the Upper East Side and it's one of my favorite neighborhood spots. They have a great variety of baked goods, coffee and the ambiance is very chic and girlie. Definitely worth going with a group of girlfriends if you want an Instagram-worthy coffee stop.

BG Bergdorf Goodman: Located at 754 5th Ave, New York, NY 10019 on the 7th floor. This is a great little spot to enjoy an upscale lunch or tea time assortment. You get to walk through the store and then sit down for a great meal and enjoy at the park views.

Tutto il Giorno Sag: Located at 16 Main St, Sag Harbor, NY 11963. I went here for brunch on my birthday and it was incredible. The ambiance is very lux and it was even more validated once the food and drinks were just as good. It's a little pricey but totally worth it so if you're in Sag Harbor and looking to splurge for a nice meal, this is it.
